The latest PlayStation 4 firmware, version 1.7, has not yet been dated, however Sony continues to show off its features, with the latest being the following trailer for ShareFactory, a new tool which gives players control captured videos. As you can see in the video, you are able to add in your video clips of yourself over the main video in any position, you can add in commentary, stickers, your own music and more. It’s looks pretty great to be fair.
“I am the Sr. Producer on the SHAREfactory team and we thought it would be really cool to show off a project that was edited in our offices that show off a number of features in the application,” said senior producer Stuart Platt via YouTube. “We are really excited to see what PlayStation fans will create and share once SHAREfactory is released. We hope you like it!”
Gamers will be able to import their own music to SHAREfactory using a USB device and can also export the finished videos to USB, allowing them to be uploaded to YouTube and other services which currently don’t have a dedicated App on the PS4.
“The response from the global gaming community for PS4 has been overwhelming and we are truly humbled that gamers are selecting PS4 as their next generation console of choice,” said SCE president and group CEO Andrew House.
“The PS4 journey has just begun, and although we are still facing difficulties keeping up with the strong demand worldwide, we remain steadfast in our commitment to meet the needs of our customers, and surpassing the wildest expectations of gamers by delivering new user experiences that inspire and engage. We look forward to unveiling many of these experiences to our fans in the coming months.”
Sony expects to see a total of at least 120 PS4 games released in 2014. Games mentioned for a 2014 release include Alien: Isolation, Destiny, The Elder Scrolls Online, NBA 2K15, Watch Dogs, Driveclub and The Order 1886. Significant indie releases include N++, GALAK-Z: The Witness, The Dimensional, Transistor, Secret Ponchos, Octodad: Dadliest Catch and Daylight.
As for the competition, it’s been a while since we have heard from Nintendo or Microsoft in terms of Global figures. Nintendo was around 5.8 million units shipped last we heard, while Microsoft announced back in January that it has sold around 3.1 million consoles worldwide.

The Elder Scrolls Online (released 4th April) is set roughly 1,000 years before the events in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the coming of the Dragonborn, and just before the rise of Tiber Septim, the first Emperor of Tamriel. Three Alliances have emerged across the continent, each struggling for supremacy over the land. As these great powers battle one another for control of the Imperial City – and with it all of Tamriel – darker forces are moving to destroy the world.
The Elder Scrolls Online is the latest chapter of the award-winning franchise and will bring the legendary experience online for the first time. Whether you play with your friends or adventure alone, the game’s combat system allows you to focus on action and tactics, not the UI. Use any weapon or armor at any time and customize your abilities to play the way you want as you uncover the mysteries of Tamriel and seek heroic quests on your own terms. Explore the far reaches of Skyrim, the mysterious lands of Morrowind, the sprawling metropolis of Daggerfall and beyond. The choices you make, from the alliance you join to the battles you fight, will shape your destiny and the world of Tamriel.

Sony has changed it’s system to allow users to tie up to three portable devices to their PlayStation Network account, in addition to their PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles.
This means that you’ll be able to use downloaded games on a Vita, Vita TV and a PSP without having to deactivate one of them.
“SCE will change the number of portable devices that can be activated on one Sony Entertainment Network account. Portable devices include PSP, PS Vita and PlayStation Vita TV,” said a note on the PS Blog last night, which is odd when you consider the system has yet to be revealed for anywhere outside of Japan.
Lots of people seem to love the thought of PS Vita TV, so perhaps this is a strong hint from Sony that they’ll get their wish?
